Don't Mind If I Do.

Check out these pretty chic capri's from Lulu's.com They're calling them "Walking Tall Trousers" and how wouldn't in these. They're pretty damn sexy with their very ugh hum.. snug fit. The stretchy polyester blend fabric could pass for wool from a distance, but with an easy going price tag of $44.00 bucks lets be glad they're not. Then I would REALLY worry about the quality... They're a worth trying tho. Very easy to pair with many things we may already have in our closets. Good score.

Gotta Have It!!

There's some things that as soon as you look at them you know..you gotta have it.  That's the way I felt when I first laid my eyes on this oversided "St. Croix" tote by Vitalio.

If you've been kind enough to have read any of my previous posts you know that I have a thing for anything Cognac in color.  Add to that the lovely nautical theme, and the fact that it's roomy enough to hold all the crap I carry ...it's pretty much a no-brainer for me as to whether I'll buy this or not.  How could I not.   This loveliness sells for about $45.00 and you can pick it up at Amazon.com via my store link below.  Hope they still have one for you.

Shocker!!!!

When did we decide that Nip/Tuck was going off the air??? As this Wednesdays episode ended and I eagerly awaited for the preview for next Weds. episode I was smacked in the face with the news that my favorite show would be or is currently premiering it's last season. The show will be airing it's last episode in June after a lil hiatus. Really??? Why?? I mean yea... the show doesn't have as much hype as it did when it first came out, but the stories are still pretty good and it hasn't lost it's "Shock!..Yes we did just take it there" value. And although the last season looks very promising and nostalgic with the resurgence of Columbian drug lord Escobar Gollardo and Sean appearing to want to lay the smack down on someone.. why so soon.. Really??

With Project Runway running to LA and Lifetime (tho they're coming back to NY next season, I'm not sure if that will help the ratings at all), and becoming pretty sad to watch, all I have is Ghosthunters...yes I watch Ghosthunters, and occasionally Planet Earth..when I'm feeling extra "green". I eagerly await the second season of RHWONJ but there's nothing else. It's like a boxer... go out while you're still on top I guess. I always had the feeling the show wouldn't be on that long. I assumed we would get burned out on it and the storyline would start to suck but I guess it's better this way. At least I still watch it.. can't say the same for Project Runway.

Oh! My! God! The Sweetness!!!

Hey! Have you smelled Dior's Miss Dior Cherie? If you're like me and you can not live without Targets Soap and Glory products due to the amazing scent you'll love Miss Dior Cherie.
It has that same strawberries and cream scent as Soap and Glory excepts it's a lil stronger as a parfum. One sniff of the packet in my latest issue of Glamour and I was hooked. Def on my shopping list.

.... Let Talk Tech Support

Note to self:... Xbox tech support .. is a piece of shit. My poor boyfriend just spent 30 mins on the phone with their "tech guy" trying to configure his wireless adapter to the internet. Apparently the "support" didn't quite understand the meaning of WIRELESS ADAPTER telling Patrick that he needed to run an Ethernet cable to the router... What's the point of getting a wireless adapter if you're still going to be using cables?? When Pat explained that he didn't have a 100 ft long cable the idiot told him that he couldn't continue with the troubleshooting procedure because if he couldn't rule out step 3 ( the cable) they couldn't move on to step 4. Okay... Pat asks for a manager.. The guy puts him on hold for a while, comes back on without getting the manager like Pat asks and repeats the same bullshit.

My baby got pretty pissed hung up the phone and tossed it... it was pretty hot to see. I googled(cuz google is God) "How To Configure Your Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter?". 2 minutes we had the answer. 10 mins his connection was hooked up. What the fuck is tech support good for?

I Want It!

Tell me those aren't the cutest gloves you've ever seen!!!! They're Free People's "Ballet-Biker" glove and they are freaking awesome! They're a wool blend ( I was hoping for cashemere because I actually would have dished out the money for these babies) and they're only $38.00. So cute. You can find them at NeedSupplyCo.com... told you it was a banging website.. and no.. they did not offer me anything free to say that.

Where Does It Go?

It's been a while since I've posted. I've been busy with school, trying to buy a house, and just trying to keep the 1.5 jobs I have in this crappy economic time. However I wanted to give you the low-down on my Gap 1969 jeans adventure.... Guess what... It was a bust. Take that Patrick Robinson! Yeah.. I tried their Curvy fit on a couple weeks ago and I was pretty disappointed. I have a 28.5 inch waist, 41 inch hips and 22+ inch (depending on where you measure) thighs... I picked up the jeans in a size 8 and to my dismay.. .they were too loose on the waist, fit pretty well on the thighs but I didn't like the way they broke at the knee. If they hug my thighs all the way down to the knee my thighs just end up looking extra large. Who is that helping.. really??

So disappointed. Maybe I should try the Long and Lean version or check out the Boot Cut but I was betting on the Curvy. You know who's version of the Curvy jean does fit perfectly?? Express. LOVE THEM!!!! So.. if you measure up like I do I highly suggest Express' Eva Curvy fit jeans. Very Nice!

Vampire Diaries...uuuhh.. Fake Ass Twilight??

I did try to watch the show last Thursday... Not only because it's what came on before Supernatural but because I thought I'd give it a chance. I couldn't get past 10 mins. Now I'm not a huge Twilight fan but I did think the movie was pretty good. Mr. Pattisons character was very alluring... in a "it hurts so much but I like it" kinda way. .I actually heard some lady say this weekend "It's the guy from Twilight! He's hot! I am so cougar for him!" HAHAHA!!! Classic. I loved it!
ANYWAY.. Paul Wesley as Edwar... I mean Stefan.. -so his name is sexier- left me looking for Edward. Will that be the new norm for teenage male vampires?? Extra mysterious with such a look of torment in their face that you can't help but feel something for them?? Cause that would suck. It's probably a decent show and I should give it another chance, but it just left me more anticipated about New Moon. I'll perhaps TRY to watch it again this Thursday. At least Supernatural's back on!

Who You Calling A Dork?

I know that I'm a video game junkie when I see this..

...and get more excited to buy it then when checking out new earrings.

I was SO tempted to buy this 14-16 inch (not really sure..I was in awe of it's awesomness)Marcus Phoenix action figure for my brother knowing he wouldn't really care for it giving me reason to keep it for myself. The only thing really stopping me was the price. Even at 50% off making it $25.00 I couldn't do it. I so badly wanted to tho.

Gears Of War 1 and 2... Great story lines, great cut scenes and the voice overs are some of the best I've heard. I love these games... more than I love Halo... I didn't even think it was possible.

Au De Texan Girl

With base notes of woodsy elements, amber and patchouli and middle notes of florals like frangipani and peony it's no surprise that I'm digging Jessica Simpon's new perfume Fancy Love.

I never thought I'd hear myself saying I was digging something Jessica Simpson put out ( her shoes aren't the greatest things in the world. Every now and then she gets it right with the footwear) but this scent is nice. It's not too overpowering and it's seems like it will not only get your mothers approval but your grandmothers as well as you most certainly won't be called a harlot wearing this scent. Well done Jessica.
On another note... is it just me or does the new Queen Latifa perfume Queen smell very similar to a scent Givenchy launched several years ago? Every time I smell it I keep thinking Organza...Organza.. ???

Again..

Once again Project Runway disappoints. The creative person gets kicked off and the weakest performer stays after being in the final 2 spot....TWICE. I don't quite get it guys. Sorry to see you go Malvin. I thought Fashion was about being creative and having a vision?

The Bible

I bought the September issue of Vogue a few days ago and I gotta tell you, a little disappointing. I got through the first 200 pages of advertisement in the first 7 minutes. This may not sound like anything to you, but I usually study the hell out of those ad pages. The cut of the clothing, the fabrics were used, how well they go together, and the composition of the shot. This was cut short for me by ads for Express and BabyPhat. Babyphat!!!! in my September issue of Vogue.. my bible!I understand times are hard but this messed me up. And yes they still had top designers in there like Prada and Fendi, but it was a few pages from if not right next to the ad for Payless!!! Seriously! Ok.. I can understand Express. They're clothes are pretty decent quality and classy at times... but Baby Phat?? Ghetto Fabulousness. Really? In Vogue magazine?

Despite it being only 584 pages long that was my only real issue with it. I actually read more of it than I normally do...which isn't saying much being the only issues of Vogue I buy are the Fall and Spring Fashion issues.

Shoe For Thought.

.......remember Jimmy Choo? His shoes were so great they should have called him Jimmy "Shoe". What ever happened to him?? OH! I know!

Manolo Blahnik.

SJP and Sex and The City helped launch the career of this shoe god. Then his name too left our lips like slow drying gloss. Who took his place??

Christian Louboutin.

Who assisted in giving us the covered platform and such grandeur elegance. I'm still praising him for it today. It leaves me wondering though who's next after him.

We all know good things must come to an end, and even tho all these designers are still doing their thing, we don't hear too much about the previous two anymore.

Such is Fashion. So who's next?
Could it be Guiseppe Zanotti with his
take on edgy sexiness?,

or Mui Mui and their sheer uniqueness?
..a bit much for me.

Personally I love L.A.M.B shoes. I think they nail the Rocker-Chic look. My fav. Who ever is next I'm sure will stir our senses just like their predecessors.

Welcome Back

Aaaahhhh. The return of Project Runway. I've waited 5 months for this. The Fashion Show just didn't measure up. Kelly Rowland instead of Heidi Klume??? What's that? Anyway...I was so excited I actually got to watch it at home uninterrupted last night, and already have gripes.
I'm glad a good amount of this cast is either in their 30's or older because it's always inspiring to see those individuals still climbing to break into the business. A sort of "Never Give Up" attitude.

What didn't sit well with me last night was Johnny Sakalis.
I'm sorry .. is it Project Runway or Project Rehab? Don't get me wrong.. Kudos to him for getting off of Meth but please don't make the show about your addiction. If I hear that word more than three more times this season I'm gonna flip. That's #1. #2. was the fact that they kept Mitchell Hall???

What the hell?? He sent out a naked model. I thought Ari Fish was unique and had extreme potential. I was way more interested in seeing what she would've came up with in later challenges than Mitchell. I little bit of a let down but what are you gonna do. I'm just thrilled the show is back on. I love Michael and Nina, and was surprised with how informative Lindsay Lohan was as a judge last night. She impressed me. Welcome Back PR!....Carry On!

Follow Up!

Heh Heh Heh!!! I just re-scanned all my channels differently... and found Lifetime!! SWEET..I won't have to ask to change the channel at the local bar after all!

RANT: Just Pissed!

So.... I've had my calendar marked for about 3 months now to remind myself that the premier of Project Runway is tonight on Lifetime at 10pm. Monday this week I'm all excited because it's getting close to that time. How about two days before the premier of my favorite show
....THE FUCKING CABLE COMPANY DECIDES TO TAKE LIFETIME OFF UNLESS YOU'VE RECEIVED/HOOKED UP YOUR CONVERTER BOX!!!!!

BULLSHIT MAN!!!!

Why don't I just watch it at home you ask??? Because some how my boyfriend has free basic cable and I don't blame him for not paying for it when he has it for free. However now I gotta either bug the shit outta my parents to hurry up and hook up, then call the cable company to activate theirs OR..find some other place to be at a 10pm to watch the show. Ridiculous I swear.............

I'm gonna cry.

1969 My Ass!

So Gap just launched they're 1969 Premium Denim Jeans a few days ago. I who used to be a huge fan of Gap jeans am a little weary about purchasing any of these. If you've followed my story you know I put on a lil extra in the lower area. Since then.. Gap jeans just don't fit like they used to. Patrick Robinson however has sworn to us all that these will be some of the best fitting jeans we'll ever purchase. I'm finding it hard to believe... BUT..I'm going to brave it and give the "Curvy" jeans a shot.

They look great.. but we all know about appearances. I got WAY more thigh than this girl! However, I will try them on and keep you posted. If they do fit like a glove hopefully I'll still have time to snatch them up while they're $20.00 off. Pray for me.

Damn!! You Sharp!!

I'm obsessed with anything Cognac in color. If it's a faux leather and it's Cognac I gotta have it. It's my obsession with the 70's. I was born in the wrong decade. So.. you can imagine how much I was jumping outta my seat when I stumbled across these....

This is the Sharrp by Steve Madden. It's so FREAKING AWESOME!!!! Here's my gripe.... Because I'm cheap and have decided to pay off my credit cards AND go back to school.. I am just not willing to pay $79.95 for them. I know it's not that much, but I ain't got the cash right now. Problem #2...I can only find these shoes at Steve Madden.com...where they have not gone on sale yet and stand at $79.95. Understand.. I need these shoes. They would complete so many outfits I could pull outta my hat, but right now all I can do is look and admire. One day shoe....one day.

The Fixer

.... every time I hear this song I go"..Oh.. is this the new Kings Of Leon....no... who is this???...Oh yeah.. It's Pearl Jam."

It's just not like them at all. I understand if they want to expand their sound and try new things, but it doesn't always work out so great. Remember Chris Cornell's "Part Of Me"?? I like that song but always forgot who it was. Throws me off so much.

.....weird

J.N.L

Have you heard of Jennifer Nicole Lee?

Have you seen JNL?

Before and After.. it's amazing I know.
I love Jennifer Nicole Lee. Love her... but lately... I just can't help but find her extremely annoying. It all started when flipping through the channels one day I stopped on HSN because I saw they were selling some new fitness machine -Ab Circle Pro-that struck me as a little strange. Stunned and a little excited I shout to Patrick "Hey!! That's Jennifer Nicole Lee!! I love this woman!!" The love subsided once she opened her mouth....

Now I know they're suppose to seem enthusiastic about the merchandise they're promoting but she just annoyed the hell out of me. I've seen her on YouTube and read about her in a couple issues of Oxygen magazine. She seemed so down to earth and sincere. Sweet, motherly, loving..you know. Awesome. On HSN she was just loud and a little obnoxious making these strange noises while gyrating awkwardly on that machine. I couldn't tolerate anymore nor could Patrick. We had to turn the channel.

Days past as well as a little bit of my confusion about her. I watched some of her videos on Bodybuilding.com, and read a few more of her articles figuring she can't be all that bad. One night...came across her on HSN again...the same feeling. Had to turn the channel. Now I'm watching her on YouTube now and can't help but feel the same. AAAAHHH that's what it is! She's on here promoting the machine again. So.. it's only when she's talking about the Ab Circle Pro that she becomes the JNL I can't stand. I see.

She's a beautiful women and I admire her for going from chubby mommy with kids to banging fitness model who worked her ass off..or to pure perfection. Will I ever want to watch her promote something where they ask her to be excited about it ...no. It's like watching two different people. I still respect her and love her tho. Love you Jen.. Muah Muah Muah!!

Need Supply

When something's good...it's just good. Point blank. As an avid online shopper it's not always easy to find clothing that's affordable but also good quality. I love ASOS and Forever21. You'll also find me searching the sales and clearance sections of Nordstrom, Dillards, and Victoria's Secret. I'm cheap.. and don't like to pay a lot for clothes unless they're made by me. So .. how excited was I when I was turned on to Need Supply Co. THIS MUCH!! I-----------------------------------I...that's a lot in typing sense.

They carry well known designers like Acne Jeans, Marc by Marc Jacobs, as well as off the radar ones like Naked and Famous, and Warriors of Radness<-----great name. Most of the prices are well under $200 which is a steal for what you get and the clothes aren't trendy, but some of them will make an impact if you like to be different. I wish, wish, WISH and pray the were a registered website of SavvyCircle.com. My wishlist would be loaded. Seriously... look at this It's so cute!

Amber Rose

One word...banging. She's my new girl crush. I think a lot of people hate on her because she is who she is (sounds a lil familiar...see previous post) and that's it. So she's Bi...so what. So she's bald....so what. The bitch is hot. People are saying Kanye could've done better... I think she could.

Banging!.. skanky pictures and all. Stop Hating!

...You're Not Even Looking At Her Poker Face.

...I love Lady Gaga.

Stupid name from a strange song, wacky ass clothes, simple lyrics and all. Girl can put together a catchy song. "Just Dance" is def better than "Poker Face", but I love them both....no comment about "Love Game". It's not her songs tho that get me excited about this girl. It's her unique rawness that I love. She puts it all out there and makes no apologies. Has anyone else noticed that she's the closet thing this generation has seen to Madonna in her early years. Risque` attire with lyrics to match. Not caring what anyone else thinks and doing what feels right to her. She's got Mrs. Ciccone written all over her. She's may be a victim of an extremely bad stylist, but you gotta give her an A for effort. No one else is doing it like her.

The Struggle

I'm a girl... with a little extra in the hip, thigh, and butt area. When I buy pants...jeans particularly I try to make sure they have some stretch so they fit comfortably. If you're one of my few friends on Facebook you all know about my "Impulse Buy" of a pair of Kasil brand jeans on Revolve that were marked down from $213.00 to $86.00. How could you not jump at that bargain???

Well..let me just say these jeans are getting mailed back today. I have a 29 inch waist. When I buy designer jeans which are normally Seven's or Citizens.. I get a 29..sometimes a 30. They fit like a glove and give a little where they need to. Not these bitches. I bought them in a 29 because they're made with 2% elastane. They're trouser cut too which normally almost always fit perfectly. Let me tell you...I strained the damn tendon in my wrist to the point where my thumb curled up on me and I couldn't straighted it back out on my own trying to get these over my ass! My boyfriend had to make a splint for me to keep me from using it or it curling up again. Not only that.. He had to help me take them off afterwards. I thought it was embarrassing .. he loved it.

Finding a great fitting pair of jeans is always a struggle for most women. Too many different body types to cater to. Although these are very nice jeans they really aren't worth me losing the use of my thumb or any limb over. That would be a bit much. The things I go through for great clothing. Ridiculous.

Strike A Pose!

....so.. I hear Vogue Magazine's going through some tough times lately. Who isn't really tho? It's the times. This Mega Fashion magazine that's #1 on most Fashion enthusiast list falls short to #2 for me. When I was growing up I'd hear all about Vogue magazine and the infamous Anna Wintour (LOVE her!..She's my idol) When I thought of Fashion, models, designers, etc.. I thought Vogue. STRIKE A POSE! They're Fall issue from 1993 or 94 with John Galliano's tile inspired dress and matching hat solidified my decision to be a Fashion Designer. It is a Fashionista's bible.
Then I subscribed to Harper's Bazaar. The first issue I ever got just 3 short months ago reeled me in like a fish who did not want to give up the worm. SJP was on the cover running on a bridge, looking very Carrie Bradshaw like against a simplified dusty blue background. I was hooked. Read that magazine cover to cover.. I mean EVERYTHING. I rarely do that with any magazine I own.

What I like about Bazaar is that they don't crowd you with a bunch of articles I could care less reading about. I know it's great to know what's going on in Fashion when you're in the business of Fashion. I get this, but when I just want to look at who put of what this season and next... just give me that. I don't mind a little side note about what's now trendy, and what inspired so and so designer to create such a collection. But please...PLEASE don't expect me to read a page and a half of it. Show me what they did don't tell me.

Also, like many magazine are trying to do now.. they're touching important issues for women like breast cancer and domestic violence and what not.. which is fine. However the same applies. If I want to read about breakthroughs on Women issues I go to Marie Claire... another one of my favorites. Please ..not so much in my Fashion magazine. Bazaar gets it just right! Everything I could ask for in a Fashion mag.

So..although I swear by my Fall and Spring issues of Vogue, month to month I'm a Haper's girl. It's not a diss... just a preference.

RANT: Why This Wash?

Why would anyone in their right mind seriously bring back the Acid Wash jean???
Why?

Acid, Snow, White whatever wash you call it, it all equals ugly.

I know the 80's have been prominent in Fashion for the past 2-3 years and I'm a fan. I really am. But there is a difference between rocking leggins under a denim skirt like Madonna in her Lucky Star days, and roaming around in bleach splattered jeans like you're fresh outta the trailer park. Remember Helen Shaver playing Fairuza Balks mother in

The Craft ........EXACTLY!!!
