I am in love with this Button Down Denim dress from Forever21.  

It's a nice little nod to 70's with it's choice of color, button front and front bodice detail and length.  I've been holding out on this post for a day or so and I've watched the reviews on this dress go from 2 to almost 5 stars.   

It's on my list.   I know where I'm going this weekend.

Rag & Bone vs Everyone

Well...if they say "imitation is the best form of flattery"
                                                                   Rag & Bone must really be feeling the love.....

Their Talia v-neck sweater has been imitated SO many times it is ridiculous!

It is a great sweater I must say,  and I'll admit I'm actually wearing a knock off version of it by Derek Heart I picked up for 8 bucks at Rue21 as I write this post.  Although I do feel some type of way about knocking off designer pieces, in reality we all can't afford R&B prices.

So while browsing around on Asos.com  I wasn't too surprised coming  across this.

This is Vero Moda's Varsity Style Long Line Sweater.  I will admit...I do like it just a tad more than the R&B despite the absence of the deep V neckline which I'm quite fond of.  

I like the length, added stripes on the hem and that it's 100% cotton.   I also like the price.  $47.38

I'm a sweater junkie.  I have a lot.  Not a ridiculous number that's just unmanageable, but perhaps too many to pull out every winter.   Lately I've been all about quality 80's style sweaters from the thrifts.  I don't care how much I look like I just stepped out of "She's One of the Guys" ....one of my favorite 80's movies btw.

It's really not as sheer as it appears on the website but it is a lot more tight than I thought it would be.  I do prefer something with a little more give but all in all this was a great buy.

I literally just purchased this dress as I write this post (Grant it I did stare at the web page for about 5 days before really deciding..but whatev.)

I usually make my own dress to prance around in in the summer ..and tho I did make a brown and white striped on similar to this..mine doesn't have the nifty hood.  I too enjoy how this is somewhat sheer making it still a practical choice for the shore (the youngin's in NJ trot around our beaches in very little clothing).

So yes..at 28.80 I will be calling this dress my place of residence for summer 2014

The name of the store is Shoes for Her located near my home town of Trenton, NJ, in Ewing's Parkside Plaza. It's the best lil shopping plaza that offers almost anything you need. ShopRite for you groceries, Mama Flora's for your Italian, Tan Mai for your Chinese, A dollar store for EVERYTHING, LA Perfection Nails...if you're into that kinda thing, Parkside Wine and Liquor that boast a 5 seat bar stool in the store!! cuz I'm into that kinda thing...and get this...Wild and Crazy Wigs for your extensions where you can go two stores over to The Weave Shop and have them sew it in!!!  It's crazy!

Junior Dip Dye Denim short obviously from Target.  I really really like these.  Even when I saw them in the ad I wanted to go grab them that day forgetting the sale starts Sunday... not the day I get the sale ad.  They're $19.99 regularly but if I'm quick enough..I'm gonna grab them for $15.00.   So cute!

I am loving this Made My Day maxi dress from Free People.

Not only is it a double whammy with the slit and elongated arm holes, but I love that it has pockets! It's effortlessly cool and sexy from the back.
