I am in love with this Button Down Denim dress from Forever21.  

It's a nice little nod to 70's with it's choice of color, button front and front bodice detail and length.  I've been holding out on this post for a day or so and I've watched the reviews on this dress go from 2 to almost 5 stars.   

It's on my list.   I know where I'm going this weekend.

Anchors Away..Done Up

So I bought it!

The Ocean Water dress from Great Glam.

It's really not as sheer as it appears on the website but it is a lot more tight than I thought it would be.  I do prefer something with a little more give but all in all this was a great buy.

I literally just purchased this dress as I write this post (Grant it I did stare at the web page for about 5 days before really deciding..but whatev.)

I usually make my own dress to prance around in in the summer ..and tho I did make a brown and white striped on similar to this..mine doesn't have the nifty hood.  I too enjoy how this is somewhat sheer making it still a practical choice for the shore (the youngin's in NJ trot around our beaches in very little clothing).

So yes..at 28.80 I will be calling this dress my place of residence for summer 2014

Maxi MANIAAAAHHHH!!!!!

I am loving this Made My Day maxi dress from Free People.

Not only is it a double whammy with the slit and elongated arm holes, but I love that it has pockets! It's effortlessly cool and sexy from the back. 

I'm actually diggin' a couple of the maxi dresses FP has happening.  The one above is only $88.00 but this beauty below...

$198.00  It is gorgeous though!  This is the Meadows of Lace Slip. Worn modestly it looks like..

Almost everything about this dress is boring with an exception to the draping in the back and ruching on the shoulder.  The front is so hideous and the color is drab.. it's pretty ridiculous.

I'll admit, this dress is pretty impressive for a low end trendy brand.  It's from their Love21 collection which explains the maturity of the dress.

The length is perfect for a 

summer bbq and it can be uber dressed up with a banging pair of heels and maybe something draped over the shoulders.  I am seriously loving this dress!  $37.80 ladies.  It is on my list.

A Weave of it's Own

So so sexy!  This Thatch Bust Halter dress by Akira Chicago Black Label is stunning. One look at it and BAM!!  You're stunned!  Normally black is my go to "sexy" color..or lack there of, but this powder mauve is stellar.  I'm surprised too with how flattering I find the weave of the fabric in the waistline. It gorgeous

It has a lot going on in the from with the weave and the draping but it all adds to it's beauty.  For a polyester frock I must say I really really like it.  I like it more at $64.90 :)

BonaDrag.com isn't usually the first website I'd turn to for elegant, chic clothing, however they very much surprised me today.

This dress is from the label Shakuhachi and it almost seems odd to be found on a website showcasing beautiful oddities. (Don't take that literally, view the site and see the wonders they offer) I'm in love with the overall design of this dress.  Something about being almost completely covered with a slice a skin show is very sexy to me.  Yes.. I'm a "Less is More" girl. The lavender and red leopard print gives it that much more sex appeal. You know what gives it even more appeal than that.. the fact that it's currently 50% off on sale for $156.00.

It's the perfect little party dress without being over the top sexy.  I love the layered tiers at the bust and how it pulls the eye to that area, not the legs being how short the dress is. So cute!
